The seminar gives new SAP customers a quick introduction to the world of SAP licences. Existing SAP customers will learn how to optimise licence inventories in the context of S/4HANA conversions or subsequent purchases.

In addition to an overview of the SAP market and the main new features of the SAP price list, the seminar will show ways to tailor the SAP licence model to the individual needs of a company in a cost-benefit-oriented manner.

In addition, information is provided on typical licence risks - e.g. indirect use or digital access - and how companies can deal with them.

Current topics such as HANA Enterprise Edition versus Runtime database licensing, cloud contracts and their special features as well as dealing with volume-based metrics will be discussed in depth.

Finally, participants will receive tips on how to prepare for negotiations and which important qualitative contents of a licence agreement should be taken into account.

In order to display linked content from the SAP Support Portal, we recommend that you obtain access to the portal in advance of the training (this can be done via your company's SAP Portal Manager). We also recommend membership of the DSAG (German SAP User Group). Here you will receive access to price lists and additional information which we will also cover during the training.

For physical classroom training: It is helpful but not essential to bring a notebook to access the support portal.

If you are specifically interested in switching to SAP S4/HANA, we recommend DTL36 SAP Cloud Strategies for Switching to S4/HANA

If your training course takes place in the virtual classroom, you will receive digital training documents via the Mimeo platform (included in the course price), which can be used online and offline in the Mimeo environment (search/notes, etc.). If you would like printed training documents in addition to the digital documents, you can order these for € 74,-- net via the registration form.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to send printed training materials to Switzerland and other non-EU countries for customs reasons.

All classroom training courses are generally equipped with printed training materials (paper - included in the course price). If you would also like a digital training document via Mimeo, you can order this for € 24 net via the registration form.
