NIS-2 orientation workshop

The orientation workshop is intended to enable managers to understand the legal requirements of the NIS2 Directive and the associated NIS2UmsuCG, to recognise the consequences for the company and to discuss strategic and operational responses and approaches. To this end, examples from the practice of information security and cybersecurity will be presented, which are taken from the everyday life of both medium-sized companies and corporations. The following topics will be presented and discussed:

1. Embedding the NIS2 Directive and the associated NIS2UmsuCG in the European and German security architecture and their connection to current norms and standards (e.g. ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz)
2. Presentation of the legal obligations for companies, from registration and specific security measures (e.g. security in the supply chain, use of multi-factor procedures to computer hygiene and top management training) through to reporting an incident to the supervisory authority
3. Sanctions and liability of top management

The target group for this event are managers from all areas of the company, from purchasing to sales, from top management to executive level with decision-making authority. It also serves as an initial orientation for specialists from the areas of compliance, information security and data protection, as they will later have to monitor compliance with legal requirements.
