Microsoft Power Platform enables organisations to automate business processes, develop their own rich app environments and connect better and faster with customers. In this course, participants will learn how to conduct an elicitation, gather requirements, engage subject matter experts and project stakeholders, translate requirements, and configure Microsoft Power Platform solutions and apps. They supplement what they learn with hands-on exercises to create application extensions, custom user experiences, system integrations, data conversions, custom process automation and custom visualisations. Microsoft Power Platform is made up of four main products: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Power Virtual Agents. In this course we will cover these four applications in depth, with additional focus on Microsoft Dataverse, AI Builder, connectors and portals.

In this course, participants will gain the following skills:

A Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant is responsible for creating and configuring apps, automations and solutions. He acts as a liaison between users and the implementation team. The Functional Consultant promotes the use of solutions within an organisation. The functional consultant can conduct research, involve subject matter experts and stakeholders, capture requirements and map requirements to functions. He implements components of a solution, including application enhancements, custom user experiences, system integrations, data conversions, custom process automation and simple visualisations.
  • Experience as an IT professional or student
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and its main components
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse (or more general data modelling) and security concepts.
