This course provides IT identity and access and IT security professionals with the knowledge and skills required to implement identity management solutions based on Microsoft Azure AD and related identity technologies. This course is designed for identity and access administrators who plan to take the associated certification exam or who perform identity and access management tasks as part of their daily work. This course is also useful for administrators or technicians who want to specialise in providing identity and access management systems for Azure-based solutions and play an essential role in protecting an organisation.
Prior to taking this course, students should have the following knowledge:
  • Best security practices and industry standard security requirements such as deep defence, least privilege access, shared responsibility and Zero Trust model.
  • Familiarity with identity concepts such as authentication, authorisation and Active Directory.
  • Experience with deploying Azure workloads This course does not cover the basics of Azure management, but the course content builds on this knowledge and provides further security-specific information.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and scripting languages is helpful but not required. Course labs may use PowerShell and the CLI.
Prerequisite courses (or equivalent knowledge and hands-on experience):
This course prepares you for the SC-300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator exam.
