The workshop provides participants with the basic and advanced knowledge to use Veeam Backup & Replication securely as a backup product in their system environment. All special options and aspects of the product will be discussed in order to ensure complete data backup and recovery.

Basics

  • Architecture, editions and licensing
  • Basic information on a backup strategy
  • Explanation of the most important terms such as RPO and RTO

Installation and configuration

  • Designing the system environment
  • Installation and configuration of the Veeam system components
  • Connecting hypervisor and agent backup and recovery

Administration

  • Introduction to Veeam Enterprise Manager
  • Configuration of additional backup methods, for example Veeam Replication
  • Administrators and backup managers
  • IT and system managers
  • Knowledge and skills in the configuration and administration of Windows operating systems
  • Basic knowledge of LANs / local networks
  • Basic skills in dealing with TCP/IP
