Choosing the right form of licensing is of immense importance for the company to avoid economic as well as legal risks. In

order to create a solid foundation, especially with regard to legal aspects of licensing, the course first introduces the strategic procedure that is decisive for the preparation and signing of optimised software licensing agreements. In particular, after determining the needs of companies, indications are given for preparing the contract negotiation to favourably influence the conclusion of the contract.

The

currently much-discussed indirect software use and open source compliance, which has become increasingly important in the context of the current debate about the log4j security breach, will also be addressed.

The

second part of the course will focus on the execution of licence agreements in the context of operational licence and contract management

.

In addition to legal aspects in the execution of such a contract, the focus is primarily on the organisational measures required for the execution of software licensing contracts in compliance with the contract.

Your added value

After the training, you will have a profound knowledge of software licensing contracts, the different licensing models and in particular also the special features in the cloud

.

You will recognise the appropriate criteria for selecting suitable software licence agreements and develop a decision matrix for recommendations for action for the management board.
