This course covers methods and practices for implementing and managing enterprise-scale data analytics solutions with Microsoft Fabric. Students will build on existing analytics experience and learn how to use Microsoft Fabric components, including lakehouses, data warehouses, notebooks, data flows, data pipelines, and semantic models, to create and deploy analytics assets. This course is best suited for students who have the PL-300 certification or similar knowledge of using Power BI for data transformation, modelling, visualisation and sharing. Participants should also have previous experience creating and deploying enterprise-level data analytics solutions.

This course is primarily aimed at data professionals with experience in data modelling, extraction and analysis. DP-600 is aimed at professionals who wish to use Microsoft Fabric to create and deploy enterprise-scale data analytics solutions.

  • You should be familiar with basic data concepts and terminology.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell can be helpful for some administrative tasks within Fabric.
  • Be familiar with Microsoft Fabric lakehouses and core concepts.
  • Experience with Apache Spark and Python.
  • Basic understanding of extracting, transforming and loading data.
  • Basic understanding of data analytics concepts.
  • You should be familiar with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouses and SparkSQL.
  • Experience with Fabric interface and its core concepts.
  • You should be familiar with the basic principles of a data warehouse.
  • Experience with Transact-SQL
  • Knowledge of Power BI data models, including basics of star schema design.
  • Experience with Power BI data model development using Power BI Desktop.
