This course covers the following key elements of Microsoft 365 management: Microsoft 365 tenant management, Microsoft 365 identity synchronisation and Microsoft 365 security and compliance.
In Microsoft 365 tenant management, you will learn how to configure your Microsoft 365 tenant, including your organisation profile, tenant subscription options, component services, user accounts and licences, security groups and management roles. You will then move on to configuring Microsoft 365, with a focus on configuring Office client connectivity. Finally, you will learn how to manage user-controlled client installations of Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise deployments.
The course then moves on to an in-depth exploration of Microsoft 365 identity synchronisation, with a focus on Azure Active Directory Connect and Connect Cloud Sync. You will learn how to plan and implement each of these directory synchronisation options, how to manage synchronised identities and how to implement password management in Microsoft 365 with multi-factor authentication and self-service password management.
In Microsoft 365 Security Management, you will first examine the common types of threat vectors and data breaches that organisations face today. You will then learn how Microsoft 365 security solutions defend against each of these threats. You will get an introduction to Microsoft Secure Score and Azure Active Directory Identity Protection. You will then learn how to manage Microsoft 365 security services, including Exchange Online Protection, Safe Attachments and Safe Links. Finally, you will become familiar with the various reports that monitor the security status of an organisation. You will then move from security services to threat intelligence, specifically the use of Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
Once you have this understanding of the Microsoft 365 security suite, explore the key components of Microsoft 365 compliance management. This begins with an overview of all the key aspects of data governance, including data archiving and retention, Microsoft Purview message encryption and data loss prevention (DLP). You will then delve deeper into archiving and retention, paying particular attention to Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management, information barriers and DLP policies. You will then explore how to implement these compliance features using data classification and sensitivity labelling.
This course replaces the two courses MS-100T00 and MS-101T00, which will be discontinued on 31/07/2023.
