The Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrator is responsible for provisioning, configuring, securing, managing and monitoring devices and client applications in an organisation. Their responsibilities include managing identity, access, policies, updates and applications. They work with the M365 Enterprise Administrator to develop and implement a device strategy that meets the needs of the modern enterprise. Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrators should be familiar with M365 workloads and have extensive knowledge and experience deploying, configuring and maintaining Windows 11 and above and non-Windows devices. The focus of their role is on cloud services rather than on-premise management technologies.

The Modern Desktop Administrator must be familiar with M365 workloads and have in-depth knowledge and experience in deploying, configuring and maintaining Windows 11 and newer and non-Windows devices.

This course prepares students for the MD-102 Endpoint Administrator exam.

This exam will be available on 2 May 2023.

On 1 July 2023, the certification Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate will be renamed Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate renamed.
