Licence optimisation MS development and test environments with Visual Studio subscriptions
Course DTL61
Course DTL61
Almost every large company and every large public authority operates development and test environments in their data centres. These development and test environments - called "non-production environments" in Microsoft's licensing language - can alternatively be licensed with so-called developer licences (Visual Studio subscriptions). The use of these developer licences can be much more economical than production licensing with volume licences. However, it is linked to a large number of conditions and requirements that very few IT managers and software asset managers are likely to be aware of. This training addresses precisely these little-known conditions and requirements and also provides information on the many possible "pitfalls" associated with this type of licensing. In addition, concrete case studies will be used to calculate licensing scenarios for development and test environments, which will show participants how to make cost-effective licensing decisions.
Definition: what is a "non-production" environment?
What added value (for you) can you expect?
The licensing of development and test environments affects almost every company, but to date there are no training courses on the market on this important topic that deal in depth with the challenges and opportunities of this alternative licensing. Knowledge of the possibilities and limitations of developer licences in non-production environments can bring significant cost benefits for your company.
