The course provides the basic knowledge required to plan, deploy and administer SQL Server of the current versions (2022 as soon as available, 2019, 2017 or 2016). It covers planning and operation in small and medium-sized environments as well as in enterprise environments. The central administrative activities are covered, providing comprehensive practical knowledge and identifying typical pitfalls.
The course serves to acquire practical knowledge and to exchange experiences. Vendor certification is not provided.

Installation and configuration

  • Installation of the SQL Server, explanation of the parameters
