Learn the basic concepts of relational databases, queries with selects, joins (in ANSI and Oracle syntax), commands for manipulating data.
This course teaches the basic concepts of relational databases and the SQL language. Participants will learn how to query and manipulate data within a database. The use of joins, subqueries, set operators and group functions is demonstrated. The course describes how to create and manage database objects such as tables, views, indices, sequences and synonyms. Participants also learn how to control user access to the database, create roles, assign authorisations and access metadata via dictionary views.
Oracle SQL Developer is used as a development tool in the course; SQL*Plus can be used as an option.
