This IT training will provide system administrators or software developers with the knowledge needed to create automatable and repeatable network and system deployments on the AWS platform. Also learn about specific AWS features and tools related to configuration and deployment.

  • Learn to use standard AWS infrastructure features from the command line, such as Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Elastic Load Balancing and Auto Scaling.
  • You will have the knowledge required to select and implement the best strategy for creating reusable Amazon EC2 instances.
  • You will be able to use AWS CloudFormation and other automation technologies to build stacks of AWS resources that can be provisioned in an automated and repeatable manner.
  • You will monitor the health of Amazon EC2 instances and other AWS services.
  • You will be able to use the AWS Management Console to create functional Virtual Private Networks complete with Amazon VPC.
  • You will have knowledge of managing AWS permissions, user IDs and security in the cloud.
  • You will learn how to provision Amazon EC2 instances with command line invocations and troubleshoot common issues with instances.
  • Manage resource usage of an AWS account using tools such as Amazon Cloud Watch, tagging, and Trusted Advisor.
  • Edit a basic AWS CloudFormation stack definition to troubleshoot issues.

This AWS training is designed for system administrators and software developers and is particularly suitable for those with a Dev Ops role.
For this training you should have knowledge of system administration or software development as well as basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP). You should also have experience with maintaining operating systems from the command line (shell scripting in Linux environments, cmd or PowerShell in Windows). We recommend attending the course "AWS Technical Essentials" (Event no.: 26008).
