Information Protection Administrators plan and implement controls to meet compliance requirements of the organisation. These individuals are responsible for translating requirements and compliance controls into technical implementation. They assist those responsible for organisational controls to meet compliance requirements on an ongoing basis. They work with IT staff, business application owners, human resources and legal project stakeholders to implement technology to support policies and controls needed to sufficiently meet legal requirements for their organisation. They also work with senior compliance and security staff, such as a chief compliance officer and security officers, to assess the full range of associated business risk and develop these policies together. These individuals define the appropriate requirements and test IT processes and operations against these policies and controls. They are responsible for creating policies and rules for content classification, data loss prevention, governance and protection.
